As we approach the season of gratitude, the Relocation Today team is reflecting on the importance of giving back to our community. This October, our employees came together for two volunteer days at The Food Group, a Minnesota nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger and promoting nutrition equity.

On October 15, our team helped assemble Blizzard Bags — shelf-stable meal kits prepared in advance of severe winter weather. These bags are distributed to seniors to ensure access to nutritious food even when storms make deliveries difficult. Together, our volunteers contributed to more than 1,000 Blizzard Bags, helping provide comfort and care to neighbors across Minnesota.

The following week, on October 21, our team returned to assist with bulk food packaging for local food shelves. This hands-on project gave our volunteers another chance to support The Food Group’s mission of ensuring that everyone has access to healthy, affordable food.

Volunteering with The Food Group has become a tradition we value deeply. It gives our team a chance to connect outside of the office and engage in meaningful, purpose-driven work together. Each event reminds us how collective effort — even a few hours at a time — can have a powerful ripple effect in the community.

It’s also one way we bring our sustainability commitments to life, especially our support of SDG 2: Zero Hunger, one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Each experience reminds us that sustainability extends beyond environmental impact — it’s about caring for people, supporting community well-being, and sharing our time and energy to make a difference.

This Thanksgiving season, we’re especially grateful for The Food Group and their tireless efforts to fight hunger and promote food equity across Minnesota. We’re proud to continue this partnership and look forward to finding even more ways to make a positive impact in the year ahead.
